Active Minds:
An improv program for seniors

Keep sharp, be creative, have fun!

Active Minds is an educational program that teaches improvisational acting techniques and skills to improve cognitive ability, foster brain health, broaden creative expression and help increase social interaction.

Designed by the folks at the National Comedy Theatre, the classes are fun, hilarious and engaging, and teach the same skills that the professional comics use.

Classes meet once a week over a six week period for 2 hours, at our training center at Liberty Station in Pt. Loma. Taught by members of our professional cast, each class will demonstrate the skills used in creating an improvised comedy show. The class is low stress, accessible, very funny and never embarrassing.

Classes meet once per week from 9:30-11:30 AM and continue for six weeks. There are a number of restaurants in walking distance for socializing or lunch afterward.

After the initial six weeks, the program will continue after a short break. This is an ongoing class, with skills increasing over time.

Registration is $125 for the entire six week session.
