Improv Social Skills
Program for Schools
Training & Certification Program for SLPs, Teachers and SPED Instructors
Many students struggle with social communication, conversational skills, pragmatic language, flexible thinking, and building peer relationships. Our improv-based curriculum gives educators practical tools to help students develop these skills in a way that is engaging, supportive, and fun.
Unscripted Learning trains speech-language pathologists, special education teachers, social communication instructors, and school teams to use improvisational theatre techniques to teach communication and social skills to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other social learning delays.
Built on a Published Methodology
Our training program is based on the book Improvised Theatre and the Autism Spectrum, written by Unscripted Learning directors Gary Kramer and Richie Ploesch, MA, BCBA.
The book provides educators with practical strategies for developing communication, social awareness, perspective-taking, and relationship-building skills through structured improv activities. The same methodology serves as the foundation of our school-based training and certification program.
Upon completion of the training, educators with a teaching credential, or qualified background in special education or related studies, will receive certification to teach the Unscripted Learning program.
